We've had a couple of very good reviews of Mio on LouderVoice and finally got a chance to try it out last Sunday. A brilliant meal in a beautiful but shockingly empty restaurant. We'll be back soon. Granny Mary shooed us out the door at...

Living The Dream on RTE isn't bad. Mother & daughter run a boutique hotel in Bordeaux for a week. Little drama but watchable. 4/5 maybe?

Maybe it's me but why do all RTE drama series feel identical? Same stilted writing, same views of Dublin, same completely unsympathetic characters. This just feels like a bad episode of Fair City with some welcome token nudity.

A fantastic Irish product in every way except one. The pork is Danish! WTF? Bought in local Centra. Guessing that it is hard to source Free Range Irish pork. I've never seen it in shops. Why chickens but not pigs? Smarter beasts! Time for a blogpost on...

I used to love it on the web. This feels familiar but totally flat and out-of-date. Didn't smile once sadly.

I enjoyed this TV programme in which Francis and John Brennan from 5 star Park Hotel, Kenmare headed to Poulaphouca house in Wicklow. The 2 hoteliers assessed the small guesthouse's ailing business and then offered much needed advice on how to improve...

I really don't think there is a bad recipe in the whole Gubbeen range of sausages. I had the cumberland for breakfast this morning and it was jammed with flavour and spice. A real ten out of ten for me. Scally's SuperValu in Clonakilty stocks a wide...
